Flash Flood Watch for Jefferson County: Showers and thunderstorms Sunday, rain continues through Tuesday

The National Weather Service in Birmingham is forecasting showers and thunderstorms for the Trussville, Clay and Pinson area beginning Sunday with rain continuing through Tuesday. A Flash Flood watch has been issued for Jefferson County from noon Sunday through 6 a.m. on Monday.

Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms between 9am and noon, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. High near 61. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

Sunday Night: Showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after midnight. Low around 57. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

Monday: A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 61. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Monday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a low around 42. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Tuesday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 53. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

Tuesday Night: Showers. Low around 42. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
