Those who wish to say goodbye to Camp Coleman in Trussville, which is closing May 31, can do so Sunday.
An open house and picnic will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the camp, which is almost 90 years old
. The event is sponsored by the Girl Scouts of North Central Alabama.
Those who attend can bring a picnic lunch and hike, fish or just hang out. Canoeing, archery and a climbing wall will be available.
The cost of the event is $5 if you would like to reserve a picnic table plus $2 per person for each staffed program activity — canoeing, archery and a climbing wall.
To register, call Tonya Sails at 205-980-4750, extension 1028, or 800-734-4541, extension 1028. When you register, indicate how many people are coming with you and which activities they will want to participate in.
