TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Board of Eduction on Monday approved the bid for new bleachers at Phil English Field, where Hewitt-Trussville baseball games are played.

Red Bay-based Stadium Pros won the bid for the bleachers at a cost of $83,700.

Trussville City Schools Facilities Coordinator Barry Davis said new sidewalks and aluminum bleacher seating will be added. There will be 100 Silver Husky seats and 200 general admission bleacher-style seats.

Davis said the completion date is Feb. 15, 2014. He also said the school system is working on the package to get the concession stand equipment completed.

Stadium Pros has helped with stadiums and bleachers in Elmore County, Lawrence County, Morgan County, the city of Oxford and the University of Alabama-Huntsville. It has also done work in Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi.
