TRUSSVILLE — Paine Intermediate School last month conducted a Thanksgiving food drive for the Trussville Ecumenical Assistive Ministry and collected 4,152 items.
The food drive lasted from Nov. 8-22.
The Husky Helper Club decorated boxes for each classroom and talked to students about the importance of giving during the holiday season. Husky Helpers created a food drive box for each classroom.
Students and teachers set a school-wide goal of collecting 3,000 nonperishable items during the food drive.
