TRUSSVILLE — Hewitt-Trussville ended its two-game losing streak in a big way against Homewood on Tuesday night.
The Huskies scored 38 second-half points to down Homewood 55-42 on Tuesday night at Bryant Bank Arena.
Junior point guard Carter Pharis had 18 points and seven rebounds to pace Hewitt-Trussville (8-2). Senior forward James Huguley scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Senior guard Jarvis Calhoun scored 12 points.
The Hewitt-Trussville boys open Class 6A, Area 12 play Thursday at home against Carver-Birmingham at 7:30 p.m. The Hewitt-Trussville varsity girls host Carver-Birmingham at 6 p.m. Thursday.
