TRUSSVILLE — Hewitt-Trussville Middle School has announced its Teacher of the Month for November.
Seventh-grade civics and geography teacher Courtney Waldrop received the honor.
Principal Lisa Berry said the school selects a Teacher of the Week based on outstanding classroom instruction deemed by administrators’ visits. The school usually selects three per week, who then become eligible for Teacher of the Month.
The Teacher of the Month award started in October.
Waldrop received the Teacher of the Month Pumpkin Trophy, which was displayed in her classroom for the month. She also received a gift card of choice, an Arby’s VIP free combo meal, a $20 Applebee’s gift certificate, an Applebee’s $5 off certificate, a 10 percent off card for Lonestar and a red long-sleeve Hewitt-Trussville shirt.
