By Gary Lloyd

PINSON — A man who died in a head-on collision on Narrows Road in Pinson on Thursday night has been identified as a Trussville man.

Daniel Clayton King, 35, died in the crash, said Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Phillip Russell. The crash happened at about 7:15 p.m.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Randy Christian said the wreck happened approximately 300 feet from the highway.

The investigation revealed that a male driver was traveling east on Narrows Road when he crossed the center line and struck a vehicle head on, Christian said.

The female driver and two small children in jump seats in the other vehicle were not injured, Christian said.

King was pronounced dead on the scene.
