Clay, Pinson boys playing in Albertville tournament

The Clay-Chalkville and Pinson Valley varsity boys basketball teams are participating in next week’s Albertville Civitans Christmas Classic.

Pinson Valley plays the first game of the tournament Thursday at 10 a.m. against Westbrook. Clay-Chalkville opens the tournament Thursday at 11:30 a.m. against Ashville.

Should Pinson Valley win its first game, it will face the winner of the Pell City-Guntersville game Friday at 4 p.m. Should Clay-Chalkville win its opening game, it will face the winner of the Minor-Fort Payne game Friday at 7 p.m.

Other teams in the tournament include Hokes Bluff, Holly Pond, Albertville, Douglas, Pleasant Grove, Scottsboro, Geraldine and American Christian.

The championship game will be next Monday at 7 p.m.
