Clay-Chalkville WR commits to Mississippi Gulf Coast

CLAY — Clay-Chalkville head football coach Jerry Hood announced at the signing ceremony of Jalen Harvey and Sidney Battle on Wednesday that senior wide receiver Brian Clark had committed to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

“We’re very proud of where he’s gotten to,” Hood said.

Hood said he wasn’t sure yet when Clark may sign.

Clark made the Alabama Sports Writers Association Class 6A All-State team last season. As a senior, Clark caught 48 passes for 869 yards and 13 touchdowns. He led Clay-Chalkville in all three receiving categories. No other Cougar player had more than 19 receptions. He also totaled 263 punt return yards and 59 kick return yards.
