TRUSSVILLE — The National Weather Service in Birmingham says there is a slight risk of severe weather for the Trussville, Clay and Pinson area as a cold front pushes across the state Thursday evening and early Friday morning. The greatest threat will come from damaging straight line winds.
- Thursday –A chance of drizzle before 8 a.m., then a slight chance of showers after 8 a.m. Areas of fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 74. Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
- Thursday night –Showers and thunderstorms before 3 a.m., then a chance of showers. Some of the storms could be severe. Low around 42. Breezy, with a south wind 20 to 25 mph becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent.
