TRUSSVILLE — Trussville Country Club owner and professional golfer Chris Rigdon recently won an award from the Professional Golf Association Dixie Section.
Rigdon was named the Junior Golf Leader, an award designed to recognize a PGA golf professional who is a leader in junior golf, reflects the image and qualities that juniors can emulate, and provides opportunities and experiences for juniors to learn and play golf.
According to the history of Trussville Country Club, Rigdon bought the golf course’s land in 1990 from Murray Roper. Rigdon each Saturday at 2 p.m. hosts golf clinics for kids at the country club.
