TRUSSVILLE — Paine Intermediate School fourth-graders last week visited Montgomery as part of the school’s study of Alabama history.
Students toured the state capitol, the governor’s mansion where one group was greeted by Gov. Robert Bentley’s wife Dianne Bentley and Alabama Old Town.
Students also saw selected sites throughout Montgomery, including the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, the site of the beginning of the Montgomery bus boycott and the Southern Poverty Law Center.
