CLAY — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a threat written on a whiteboard at Clay-Chalkville Middle School on Wednesday.
“All of you teachers will be dead when I get done” was written on a whiteboard at the school Wednesday.
Chief Deputy Randy Christian said the information he has is that the note was written and then erased.
“We do not believe it is a credible threat,” Christian said.
Principal Ron Tillman said Friday morning that the message was written in pencil on a desk in the detention room. A teacher alerted him to the note, which was later erased when the desks were cleaned at the end of the day.
Tillman said he didn’t know how long the note may have been on the desk. Desks are now cleaned at the end of seventh period each day, Tillman said.
“There was no way to tell who was ever in the desk,” Tillman said. “Of course you always take that kind of thing seriously.”
