Hot days, rain by midweek in this week’s forecast

TRUSSVILLE –The National Weather Service in Birmingham has forecast temperatures in the 80’s for the early part of the week, with rain chances escalating by Wednesday.

Here’s a look at this week’s weather picture for the Trussville, Clay and Pinson area.

  • Monday -A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4 p.m. Patchy fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 87. Light southeast wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
  • Monday Night -A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Tuesday -A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m. Patchy fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 86. Light southeast wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
  • Tuesday Night -A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
  • Wednesday -Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. South wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
  • Wednesday Night -Showers and thunderstorms likely before 8 p.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
  • Thursday -Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8 a.m., then a chance of showers between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 71. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
  • Thursday Night -Mostly clear, with a low around 50.
  • Friday -Sunny, with a high near 75.
  • Friday Night -Mostly clear, with a low around 51.
