Hewitt-Trussville was the Class 6A, Area 12 champion in 2013 and posted a 39-12 record. This year, the Lady Huskies were the Class 6A, Area 12 champion and posted a 32-16 record and a 2-2 record in the state tournament.

The search for a new softball coach now begins. Hewitt-Trussville has a lot of talent coming back next season. Catcher Taylor Beshears is an Arkansas verbal commitment, shortstop Maddie Dorsett is verbally committed to Mississippi State and Callie Shields is the team’s top pitcher.
