TRUSSVILLE — A 49-year-old Trussville man is in custody after several shots were fired inside a Stockton home after an apparent domestic violence situation.
Trussville Police Department Lt. Jeff Bridges said police responded to a domestic violence call from a woman at the 5100 block of Cruise St. at 6:34 a.m. Wednesday. When officers responded, the woman was outside with a neighbor.
The suspect, identified by Bridges as Jon Eric Morris, backed himself into the house and said he wasn’t coming out, Bridges said. Morris allegedly fired several shots while inside the home, Bridges said.
The man was taken into custody shortly after 9 a.m. after a negotiator talked to him on the phone, Bridges said. No one was injured.
Police were still processing the scene at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Bridges said charges against Morris are pending.
