TRUSSVILLE — The Country Convenience store on U.S. Highway 11 in Trussville went up in flames early Tuesday morning.
Trussville Fire Chief Russell Ledbetter said the fire department got the call at 4:35 a.m. and arrived on the scene at 4:37 a.m. The fire was already in the attic at that point, Ledbetter said.
Ledbetter said it will be up to the insurance company, but the store appears to be a total loss. It appeared not much was left to salvage, Ledbetter said.
The fire was under control close to 7 a.m. Tuesday. No gas pumps were involved in the fire, and no one was inside the store.
