TRUSSVILLE — A Hewitt-Trussville senior baseball player has made his college commitment.
Casey Grammer, who was a senior for the 2014 season, verbally committed to play at Faulkner University in Montgomery.
Grammer was a backup catcher for Hewitt-Trussville in 2014. He projects as a catcher in college.
Grammer makes the 11th Hewitt-Trussville baseball player off the 2014 team to commit to play college baseball. Other Huskies who will play collegiately include Will Baumgartner (Berry College in Georgia), Carter Pharis (UAB), Reid Gunter (Jefferson Davis Community College), Alec Talley (Jefferson Davis Community College), Chandler DeRieux (Huntingdon College), Austin Treglown (Wallace State Community College), DeMarcus Kelly (Lawson State Community College), Michael Busby (Calhoun Community College), Riley Stokes (Jefferson Davis Community College) and Blake Bailey (Huntingdon College).
