CLAY — The city of Clay has garnered five resumes for its open seat on the Clay City Council.
City Manager Ronnie Dixon said the names of applicants and resumes “are privileged.”
The city accepted resumes through Monday.
Mark Halstead’s last day on the Clay City Council was Monday. He’s leaving the city council due to a relocation.
The city council will have until Sept. 2 to appoint someone to fulfill the remainder of Halstead’s term.
Halstead has been a member of the current Clay City Council since November 2012. He also served on the city council from 2004 to 2008. He was also on the city’s Zoning Board of Adjustments from 2000 to 2002 and the Planning and Zoning Commission since 2002.
A post on the city of Clay’s Facebook page earlier this month asked anyone interested in “taking an active role in leading your city” to submit a resume to Clay City Hall.
