ONEONTA — A motorcycle ride is planned for Sunday, July 13 to help raise funds for a woman critically injured in a motorcycle crash on Clay-Palmerdale Road on June 29.
“A Ride of Prayer For Brandii (Yager) West” will begin at 10 a.m. at Oneonta High School. Registration is at 9 a.m. The cost is $10 per bike and donations will also be accepted.
According to a flier advertising the event, West, of Oneonta, was involved in a head-on collision on Clay-Palmerdale Road. She is currently at UAB Hospital in critical condition, according to the flier.
“She has had multiple surgeries and is in need of many more,” the flier states. “She does not have health insurance and all donations will be used to pay for her hospital bills.”
The ride will begin at Oneonta High School, go up to Highway 231 into Ashville to Interstate 59, and end at the Harley Davidson store in Trussville.
