TRUSSVILLE — The court appearance for a “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” child actor charged in connection with a five-vehicle crash on Main Street in Trussville is set for Wednesday, July 16.
Luke Bigham, 20, will appear in Trussville Municipal Court at 4 p.m.
Bigham, who played 10-year-old Ricky Bobby in the movie, was charged with reckless driving in the June 4 accident. Bigham turned himself in to Trussville police June 5 and was released on $1,000 bond.
Bigham was the driver of a Lexus that was allegedly traveling in speeds in excess of no prescription viagra 80 mph in a 35 mph zone, Trussville Police Chief Don Sivley said last month. The Lexus that Bigham was driving struck another vehicle, sending his vehicle down Trussville’s Main Street in a spin.
Sivley said three people were reportedly injured in the crash. Bigham was the only person transported to a hospital. None of the injuries were life-threatening.
Sivley said Bigham didn’t exhibit any signs of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs immediately following the accident.
