AHSAA launches mobile app

By Gary Lloyd

MONTGOMERY — The Alabama High School Athletic Association now has its own free mobile app, which was made available for download Friday morning in the Apple App Store and Android’s Google Play Stores online.

The AHSAA has partnered with American-owned-and-operated School Apps Fast, a division of FastAPPZ, which specializes in developing mobile apps for schools and educational organizations across the country.

“This is an important step in providing our member schools with the most up-to-date technology available in today’s world,” AHSAA Executive Director Steve Savarese said. “Our schools will now be able to access our website more quickly and from pretty much anywhere.”

Among other features, the AHSAA app will allow member schools to report scores of contests immediately upon completion and users will be able to access those results from their mobile devices.

To access and download the AHSAA app, follow these instructions:

1.   Click on App Store or Google Play icon on your phone
2.   Hit the search button in your app store

3.   Search for AHSAA in the store

4.   Hit the install button for the free download

5.   Click “Yes” to allow for notifications, locations and offline caching
