TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Council did not appoint a person to fill an opening on the Trussville City Board of Education on Tuesday.
The end of this month had been the targeted timeframe to appoint someone to fill Danny Garrett’s place. Garrett resigned from his position on the board of education earlier this month due to his election as a new State House representative.
Trussville City Councilman Alan Taylor said the city council is still “working through that process” of appointing someone.
Nineteen people applied for the vacant school board position.
