The Chansoniers is an all-male singing fraternity founded by Carole Crabbe in 1970. It started as a group of 13 boys from Huffman High School but grew in size.
After Crabbe, the Chansoniers has been under the direction of Allen Gillespie, now the choral director at Hewitt-Trussville High School. Gillespie has also been the choral director at Wenonah, Huffman and Clay-Chalkville high schools.
