TRUSSVILLE — Logan Archer, a senior member of the Hewitt-Trussville golf team, signed his letter of intent to the University of West Alabama last Wednesday.
The senior has been an integral part of coach Chad Dahlke’s team since he was a freshman.
“In the past two seasons, he has helped lead our team to victories in the Kelsey Goodwin Memorial (played at Cider Ridge in Oxford) and in our sectional tournament (played at Twin Bridges in Gadsden),” Dahlke said.
According to Dahlke, Archer is no stranger to success as a member of a team or as an individual golfer. Archer’s winnings in numerous junior tournaments have his coach seeing a bright future with the Huskies and beyond.
“(Archer) has the game to compete with anyone in the state,” Dahlke said. “I am extremely proud of him, and I am expecting big things from him as he helps lead our team this year.”
