TRUSSVILLE — Paine Primary School in Trussville learned recently that it finished fourth out of 500 regional schools in the American Heart Association Jump Rope for Heart campaign that was held in February.
In February, Paine Primary students participated in the campaign during their physical education time.
The students raised a total of $11,276.68 for Jump Rope for Heart, which was held during the week of Valentine’s Day.
The donations will support such life-saving efforts as research, education, advocating for better health, improving patient care and reaching populations at risk.
To help the students celebrate this event, parents came to jump rope with their children to experience how fun it is to exercise by jumping rope.
Paine Primary School physical education teachers are Scott Burnett, Jaime Giangrosso and Scott Cooper. Cindy Boswell is a physical education aide.
