TRUSSVILLE — With Black Friday only hours away, tens of thousands of people will descend on Trussville businesses and police are warning shoppers to take precautions to avoid being the victim of a theft.
Trussville Police Department officials wanted to remind shoppers to lock their car doors and keep valuables out of view as the majority of car break-ins occur when the victim’s door is left unlocked.
Capt. Jeff Bridges also said TPD plans to saturate shopping centers with patrolmen working on their off days in light of recent robberies throughout the metro Birmingham area.
Bridges also said shoppers should be aware of their surroundings.
