TUSCALOOSA — The Tuscaloosa County Board of Education on Monday approved Pamela Blankensopp as the next principal of Crestmont Elementary School in Northport, according to The Tuscaloosa News.
Blankensopp has been the assistant principal at Clay Elementary School since 2012. She replaces the retiring Katrina May.
This is Blankensopp’s 18th year in the Jefferson County Schools system. She graduated from Minor High School.
Blankensopp has undergraduate degrees in business administration and elementary education from Birmingham-Southern College. She became a National Board Certified teacher in 2003. She earned master’s degrees in elementary education and instructional leadership from UAB.
In April, Blankensopp earned her education specialist certification in instructional leadership from UAB.
