CLAY – No. 2 Clay-Chalkville handed Class 7A Spain Park its seventh loss of the season at home Thursday night.
“The girls played really hard and it was a great win for us,” said Clay-Chalkville head coach Justin Haynie.
The Lady Cougars (16-3) came away on top 48-35 behind strong performances from Kristian Hudson, Daffany Lewis and T.J. Thomas.
Hudson kept her strong senior campaign rolling with a 20-point night. Lewis posted another 10 points of her own, and Thomas battled her way to 10 rebounds over bigger opposition.
Clay-Chalkville hopes to carry that momentum into Friday night when it travels to Class 6A, Area 12 rival Pinson Valley.
