TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Board of Education at its Jan. 16 specially called meeting named Beth Bruno its new assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction.
Bruno had acted as the interim assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction since June 2014.
Ammie Akin resigned from the position in June 2014.
Bruno had been the principal at Paine Intermediate School. That job now belongs to Autumn Jeter.
In her interim role, Bruno oversaw elementary curriculum issues, LEAD Alabama, TEACH Alabama, mentoring programs, professional development, teacher certification, federal programs and elementary textbook adoption.
The assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction job opening posted at www.trussvillecityschools.com last year stated a salary schedule between $101,962 and $114,578, commensurate with degrees, certification and experience.
