PINSON — Pinson Valley’s double dip at Corner has been postponed for the second time in as many days.
According to Corner coach
es, the playing surface was too damp for today’s games.
The Indians were originally scheduled to open their season at Corner directly followed by a game with Walker on Monday. Storms pushed those plans back to Tuesday, but the field needs more time to dry.
Pinson Valley will still attempt to start its season at Corner on Wednesday, but the Vikings are likely out of the plans.
Shane Chappell, the Indians’ third-year head coach, is reportedly interested in a varsity and junior varsity session with the Yellow Jackets Wednesday, but no official plans have been made.
Pinson Valley is scheduled to visit Tuscaloosa for a doubleheader on Thursday against Hillcrest starting at 4:30 p.m.
