ARGO – The city of Argo is currently taking applications for the City Clerk position.
Those looking to apply can do so by visiting www.cityofargo.org and clicking on the “Downloads” tab, where the employment application sheet can be found.
According to a press release, all applications can be turned in to Argo City Hall on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Applications can also be submitted via email at city.argo@gmail.com.
Argo City Hall is located at 100 Blackjack Road in Argo.
Past municipal government experience is preferred, but not mandatory for candidates.
The clerk will be expected to maintain all municipal bank accounts, general ledger and financial reports. He or she will also be expected to record, edit and maintain minutes for all meetings while preparing and maintaining municipal ordinances and resolutions, among many other duties.
