TRUSSVILLE – An attempted burglary has been reported in Trussville’s Wynnwood subdivision. The Trussville Police department is currently conducting an investigation.
The failed attempt took place at the home of Trussville school board president Bill Roberts on Monday. According to the Trussville Police Department, no one was at the house at the time of forced entry.
The intruder kicked down the walkthrough door beside the garage, setting of a security system that is believed to have scared the burglar away. Nothing has been discovered missing from the home at this time.
“It was a burglary, not a robbery or anything like that,” said Lieutenant Eric Rush. “No one was home and it doesn’t appear that anything was taken.”
“No one was hurt or anything like that. They kicked in the door and it looks like the alarm scared them off,” said Rush.
Updates pertaining to the investigation will be reported as information becomes available.
