CENTER POINT — The Center Point Fire District, along with the city of Center Point will be celebrating the launch of their Breast Cancer Awareness Month program Sunday, Sept. 27, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Center Point Fire District Station One.
The pink Jefferson County sheriff’s car will lead a motorcade to begin the ceremony followed by the Red Knight Motorcycle Club. The guest speaker for the event is WIAT news anchor Sherri Jackson.
There will be live music, entertainment for children, a car show and more.
T-shirts will be available to purchase for $15 each. The shirts are designed for the “Pink Ribbon Project” and proceeds benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama.
Donations are accepted, but admission is free.
