BIRMINGHAM — Wish lists are being penned and the smell of cinnamon spice is in the air. In other words, it’s time for a holiday market. The Junior League of Birmingham (JLB) holiday market, Market Noel, is celebrating 25 years as the premier holiday shopping event in Birmingham. Market Noel happily returns to the Cahaba Grand this year, just a short drive from the Trussville, Clay and Pinson area.
The event will take place November 19-21 and features more than 100 vendors from locations all across the country. All proceeds will benefit the 34 community projects of the JLB. Erin Sims Richardson, life-long Trussville resident, is looking forward to attending Market Noel this year.
“Several of my friends get together each year to shop at Market Noel,” Richardson said. “We can’t wait to get together after work and shop for gifts our friends, family and coworkers.”
The festivities begin Wednesday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m. with the Preview Noel – Presented by Regions Wealth Management- an exciting party with hors d’oeuvres, specialty wine, beer and cocktails, fabulous swag bags for the first 500 customers, a silent auction, live music from Sean Heninger, and a chance to win a piece of jewelry valued at $4-5,000 from Diamonds Direct with the purchase of a glass of champagne.
While the ladies shop and try their chances in the Diamond Drop, the men are invited to enjoy the Man Cave with a beer and bourbon tasting from Good People Brewing and Dram as well as entertainment from The Lochamy Brothers of the SEC Network.
General admission shopping takes place November 19-21 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
