TRUSSVILLE – Hewitt-Trussville junior Noah Igbinoghene, known for his all-state speed, has now received his first Power 5 scholarship offer.
The Class of 2017 prospect, who already holds an offer from Troy, went to Twitter on Monday afternoon to announce the latest update in his quickly growing recruitment.
“Truly blessed to receive my first ACC offer from the University of Duke,” posted Igbinoghene.
According to Igbinoghene, Duke is pursuing him as an athlete/wide receiver.
Friends and coaches began the congratulatory posting shortly thereafter.
“Congrats to the fastest WR in the state of Alabama (Igbinoghene) receiving his first Power 5 offer from Duke!!.. Many more to come,” tweeted Hewitt-Trussville defensive coordinator Rudy Griffin.
After receiving a Troy offer at the tail end of the regular season, Igbinoghene finished his junior season with 867 all-purpose yards, 522 of which came as a pass catcher, and seven touchdowns.
“I want to take my time with the process and enjoy it as much as I can before committing,” said Igbinoghene.
