From Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE –The enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms and possible tornadoes in Jefferson County has been reduced slightly, but we’ll still be facing a slight risk for our area.
We could see some scattered, isolated showers as early as Sunday night.
Monday should bring a similar day to Sunday with clouds, but sunshine breaks throughout the day with temperatures reaching the 70s.
Here at the Trussville Gas and Water Weather Center, we still expect strong, possibly damaging winds with a chance for isolated tornadoes on Tuesday. The extreme northwest part of the state will see the greatest risk. We expect to see our strongest weather locally sometime after 6 p.m., but that could change as Tuesday draws closer.
