CLAY – The Clay-Chalkville freshman boys basketball team picked up a 53-38 win over Oak Mountain on Friday night, in the team’s final contest of the season.
Chance Armstrong stole the show, scoring a team-high 20 points in the game.
The Cougars surged ahead with a 14-2 run to bridge the first and second quarters and held onto the lead for the rest of the contest.
Devin Dale had a strong showing in the paint, scoring eight, half of those coming in the final quarter.
Drewnaud Heller and Jaylin Mack each scored seven points for Clay-Chalkville.
Jayland Winters and Dayon Bryant scored four apiece. Parker Charles scored three to round out the scoring.
