CLAY–Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence in Paradise Valley on the 5100 block Cimmaron Circle on Saturday around 11 p.m. after someone reported a person had been shot.
Sergeant Jack Self said two adult men were at a party at the residence when one man was showing another man his handgun. In the process, the gun was discharged by the gun owner, striking the victim in the back.
Self said the shooting appeared to be accidental and no charges would be filed in the incident. The injuries do not appear to be life threatening. The victim is expected to recover.
