BIRMINGHAM –After a Wells Fargo bank was robbed in north Birmingham, a second bank robbery took place in Roebuck.
Police said the Woodforest Bank inside the Walmart on Montclair Road was robbed just after 7 p.m.
William Brown was taken into custody in Moody at a Racetrack gas station, and was officially charged with robbery in the first degree on Wednesday. Brown is currently being held without bond.
The suspect in conneciton with the Wells Fargo robbery, Carlos Watley, was charged with theft of property in the first degree on Wednesday. Whatley is being held on a $20,000 bond.
There were no injuries in either incident.
It is not known if the two robberies are connected to the Wells Fargo bank robbery in Trussville on Thursday.
The investigation is continuing and more details will be reported as they become available.
