PINSON — Election season has come to roost in Pison, and that means a couple of decisions had to be made prior to runoffs.
The council once again voted to enter into an agreement with the Jefferson County Commission to rent machines for voting in Tuesday’s election. The machines cost $2,700 per election, so in the case of runoffs, it is necessary to pay that fee more than once.
Churshwell also announced the final annexation in Pinson until the elections are over. The annexation brought a home on Melissa Drive into the city limits.
