TRUSSVILLE — Renovations have been announced and work has begun for the downtown Trussville Regions location at 193 Main Street.
The branch will be transforming the store into a more modern facility. The renovation will feature a 24 hour lobby that customers can access by scanning their bank card. Once inside, they will be able to interact with bank representatives via live video. The bank employees will actually be in Hoover and will be available during extended hours after the bank has closed.
“This renovation is the culmination of extensive planning as well as close work with the City of Trussville to ensure our renovation will support and enhance the ongoing redevelopment of the downtown area,” said Leroy Abrahams, North Central Alabama Area President of Regions Bank.
A temporary modular branch will be on-site to serve customers while renovations are underway. The modular branch will be open starting May 31 at 9 a.m. and will remain open until renovations are complete, which should be before the end of the year. The modular facility will function as a fully staffed bank branch, with Regions associates offering financial services, and there will also be an on-site ATM.
“The renovated branch will give customers expanded access to personal services, and we are also incorporating new technology to help us serve more people when, where and how they want to be served,” Abrahams said.
Customers can still access their safe deposit boxes by appointment, which will continue to be housed in the existing facility.
The exterior of the branch will be updated, while inside the traditional teller line will be replaced with an open layout, where customers will be greeted directly by Regions Universal Bankers. Universal Bankers will provide a variety of services to customers.
The renovated branch will also become one of the latest to offer Regions’ Video Banking ATMs. This will connect customers with a Regions representative through a two-way video, and will allow representatives to assist with typical transactions, account maintenance and general inquiries. Video Bankers are available expanded hours, including weeknights, Saturdays, Sundays and most holidays.
“We have been carefully planning this renovation for a long time,” said Brandon Greve, Consumer Banking Executive for Regions in North Central Alabama “We are excited to move forward, and we look forward to unveiling a completely redesigned, more modern facility that will reflect our continued commitment to quality service and technological innovation.”
