From The Trussville Tribune Staff Reports
BIRMINGHAM — Miss Trussville 2016, Cassidy Jacks, represented Trussville at the Miss Alabama pageant last week on Birmingham’s Samford University campus.
Jacks was named second runner up, and was named first runner up to the Miss Alabama Community Service Award. Jacks walked away with $4,700 in scholarship money. She also placed first in the talent competition.
“Finishing 2nd runner up to Miss Alabama is such an honor and was a thrilling experience,” said Jacks. “I loved spending the week with 46 beautiful, talented, intelligent and servant hearted young women. This was my third year competing for the coveted title of Miss Alabama, and it was my favorite one yet. I had an amazing community and team behind me that showered me with love and support every step of the way. I think I might just have to give it one more try.”
The Miss Trussville and Miss Trussville’s Outstanding Teen Pageants will be held July 31. Contact Meagan Reynolds at meaganreynolds26@gmail.com for more information.
