From The Trussville Tribune Staff Reports
TRUSSVILLE — Pei Yen Sung of Trussville has been missing for a year.
Sung is described as a 61-year-old Asian Female, 5’0” tall, weighing 118 pounds.
Sung lived in the Longmeadow subdivision at the time of her disappearance, and according to Capt. Jeff Bridges with the Trussville Police Department, it is believed that Sung went out for her daily walk in the neighborhood and never returned.
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office brought in tracking dogs at the request of the Trussville Police Department, and after searching the area, Sung was still not found.
Sung was well known in the area after working for The Palace Chinese restaurant for more than 10 years. She was discovered missing when she didn’t show up to her shift at The Palace, and also when her sister, who was her roommate, discovered she never returned home after her morning walk.
According to Capt. Bridges, there have been no new developments in the search for Sung.
“The investigation into her disappearance will always remain open, but we don’t have anything new on it,” said Bridges.
