TRUSSVILLE – Trussville municipal elections will take place on August 23.
The purpose of the election is to elect a mayor and a city council for each of the five city council positions for the City of Trussville.
Registered voters that reside in the corporate limits of Trussville and have for 30 or more days are eligible to vote in the election.
Polls will be located at Trussville City Hall, First Baptist Church and NorthPark Baptist Church rom 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
If necessary, runoff elections will take place on October 4.
Anyone who has resided in Trussville for at least 90 days on election day may qualify to run for office by filling out the appropriate forms and paying the appropriate fees mandated by law.
Statements of candidacy are being accepted beginning July 5 at 8 a.m. and must be submitted no later than July 19 at 5 p.m.
