TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama football team sharpened its focus on Saturday’s home opener, putting in two hours of work in shells at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility.
Thursday’s practice continued preparations for this weekend’s home opener against Western Kentucky. The Hilltoppers are coming off of a season-opening 46-14 win over Conference USA rival Rice.
The Crimson Tide has won the past nine home openers under the direction of head coach Nick Saban, including a 37-10 victory over Middle Tennessee last season.
Alabama wrapped up the practice schedule with a walkthrough on Friday. The Tide and Hilltoppers are scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff at Bryant-Denny Stadium on ESPN2. Beth Mowins, Anthony Becht and Rocky Boiman will be on the call.
