TRUSSVILLE – The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce’s 9th annual golf tournament will take place October 4 at the Pine Tree Country Club.
The shotgun scramble tournament will begin at 8 a.m.
Each individual can register for $150, or teams of four can register for $500, which includes 18 holes of golf, $70 in merchandise credit to the pro shop, lunch, range balls, a golf cart, goody bag and more.
A portion of the proceeds from the tournament will help to fund the TACC’s scholarship program. Most of the scholarships are renewable for up to four years with a B average. In the last eight years, the Chamber has awarded more than $27,000 in scholarship money.
There will be a $10,000 cash prize for a hole-in-one on hole number seven as well as other prizes for holes-in-one on other holes through the course.
State Senators Slade Blackwell and Shay Shelnutt will be on hand as celebrity golfers.
