TRUSSVILLE – Team members from Amerex in Trussville won the Best Risk Reduction award at the seventh annual Ergo Cup competition.
The Ergo Cup allows companies a forum to highlight their successful ergonomic solutions. They must be newly created devices or processes, created or significantly improved through study and experimentation. They also must be simple and straightforward, provide an attractive return on investment, explain financial success and specifically reduce or eliminate ergonomic risk.
More than 100 team members from Amerex’s parent company, McWane, Inc., participated. Participants came from 13 locations.
The Amerex manufacturing facility is headquartered in Trussville, and sales and distribution facilities are in California, New Jersey, Illinois and Washington. Amerex has more than 500 employees nationwide that manufacture more than 3 million fire extinguishers annually.
