BIRMINGHAM –Tuesday evening, UAB students were asked to shelter in place following a robbery at Blount Hall on campus. At about 7:30 p.m., campus police issued and “all clear,” saying they believed the suspect had left the campus.
That decision didn’t make everyone happy. Whitney Gilbert tweeted, “Why does UAB police always assume things are “all clear” when they haven’t found the guy in thirty minutes?”
The suspect, described as a black male 5 feet 11 inches tall, wearing a beanie hat and a black hoodies was seen fleeing north bound on 14th Street South, according the the Kaleidoscope.
