OXFORD, Miss. –Former Hewitt-Trussville Husky John Youngblood was carted off the field with an injury in the first quarter of Ole Miss’ 37-27 win over Georgia Southern.
The Daily Mississippian reported that Coach Hugh Freeze said Youngblood, a senior defender, dislocated his ankle, but the severity of the injury is unknown at this time.
Younblood, who was awarded the Chucky Mullins jersey this season, was playing outside linebacker when he took a hit to the leg that ended his day. The medical staff placed his leg in an air cast before carting him off the field.
Youngblood was one of the Ole Miss captains for today’s game.
